Aorto-coronary bypass via the oblique sinus.
نویسنده
چکیده
When the radial artery is used as a conduit for the postero-lateral branches, simple aorto-coronary bypass is sometimes impossible in a hypertrophic heart because of its limited length. Passing the graft through the oblique sinus, and making the proximal anastomosis on the right side of the ascending aorta, the postero-lateral branches can be revascularized with a short graft even for a dilated heart.

Comparison of the Graft Angles Effects on the Temporal Wall Shear Stress Gradients in the Aorto-Coronary and Coronary-Coronary Bypasses
In this theoretical study, the effect of various types of bypass graft angles on the flow field, has been investigated specially on the temporal Wall Shear Stress (WSS) on the toe, heel and some locations on the bed of the Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery at the anastomoses areas in the Aorto-Coronary (AC) and Coronary-Coronary (CC) bypasses. Flow fields in both bypasses with angles of...
متن کاملA Rare Case of Giant Coronary Aneurysm in a 5- Year- Old Child
Coronary aneurysms are typically seen in association with Kawasaki disease and only in rare instances, they are reported to be congenital or idiopathic. Here we report a case of a five year old boy who was found to have an idiopathic right coronary artery aneurysm. He presented with complaints of recurrent respiratory tract infections. His examination and investigations did not reveal any of th...
متن کاملAnatomical Discrepancy Between The Coronary Sinus and the Mitral Annulus by Fluoroscopy
Background and Objectives: Intracardiac electrocardiograms (ECGs) from the coronary sinus (CS) provide important information for identifying a left-sided bypass tract. However, a previous study revealed an anatomical discrepancy between the CS and mitral annulus (MA) in cadaver hearts. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anatomical relationship between the CS and MA in the living body...
متن کاملAorto-coronary saphenous vein bypass grafting in a patient with a single coronary artery arising from the right aortic sinus.
A patient who presented with severe angina was found to have an ectopic origin of the entire left coronary system, the left main coronary artery arising from the proximal third of the right coronary artery. Atherosclerotic obstructive lesions were present in the right coronary artery, the left anterior descending artery, and the obtuse marginal branch of the left circumflex coronary artery. The...

Left ventricular anterior wall metabolism was investigated concurrently with global myocardial metabolism by simultaneous preoperation sampling of anterior interventricular venous (AIV) and coronary sinus (CS) as well as arterial bloods in seven patients with severe obstructive lesions of the major coronary arteries, including left anterior descending. Postoperative study was performed two week...
